Performance Improvement (PI) Projects
The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) developed Easy Performance Improvement (EasyPI), a peer-reviewed, curated collection of online educational resources, to help family physicians complete a self-guided PI project in practice and earn credits for their work.
EasyPI will guide you through assessing background information for a particular condition, deciding how this data should influence patient care, and implementing team-based practice changes to enhance patient outcomes.
After completing your chosen PI initiative, EasyPI resources offer step-by-step guidance on how to submit your work to the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) via its Self-Directed PI Project: Clinical Pathway application. Self-Directed PI projects meet an ABFM PI requirement, earn 20 ABFM points for your portfolio, and count for 20 CME credits through the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
