Family physicians have no restrictions on whom we can see, so there are few limitations on where we can practice. We can treat patients of any age and gender, helping fill gaps in communities that lack Pediatricians and OB/GYNs.

The AAFP’s Family Medicine Champions is an excellent opportunity for medical students, FMIGs, residency programs, practicing physicians, and even Life members to share their experiences. A Week in the Life of a Family Physician
All Family Medicine Champions videos are available on YouTube and can answer questions about family medicine that young people need to know. To receive continuing education credits, access slides and handouts, or join the Family Medicine Champions online community, you must earn their certification by completing the program.
