Something for members to know I am passionate about meaningfully improving health outcomes for underserved communities and addressing health disparities through advocacy and longitudinal community education!
Kavya Anjur graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She has held various leadership roles at UIC including President of the Family Medicine Interest Group, President of the Humanities in Medicine Organization, and Advocacy Chair of the South Asian Medical Student Association. She is also leading a community service project with local domestic violence shelters through the National Schweitzer Fellowship. As part of the Global Medicine Program, Kavya is completing a capstone project to provide sustainable interventions, address healthcare delivery gaps, inform policy, and improve international systems of care by advocating for human rights and global health equity.
