Dr. Okonkow has a love for community building and advocating for others. She is dedicated to caring for the whole person, which is the goal and mission of a family medicine physician. She has previously served as a Board Member for the Texas Academy of Family Physicians where she has had the opportunity to explore and connect with like-minded physicians who share the same passions for patient care and health equity. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc and has dedicated herself to a lifetime of service, where giving back and connecting with the next generation of young leaders remains consistent throughout her career.
