About your practice or area of expertise:
I am a family medicine physician specializing in comprehensive primary care and obstetrics, including prenatal care, deliveries, and cesarean sections. I practice in an underserved rural region of Illinois, providing comprehensive care across three counties with limited resources. My work spans women’s health, inpatient and emergency coverage, and procedural family medicine. I also precept and teach rotating medical students from UICOM, Peoria, and Rockford. I bring a global perspective to patient care while maintaining an active interest in medical policy and regulation through my involvement with the Illinois Medical Board and leadership in my organization.
Something you would like members to know:
I grew up in Egypt, and both my parents were OBGYNs. My father’s practice, clinic, and birth center were downstairs from our home. My wife and I are committed foodies; our goal is to travel the world and enjoy its delights. We bike, we hike, and we are curious. I watch too much TV and listen to too many podcasts. I finally started playing the Handpan.
