Prepare pregnancy care providers to effectively manage potential obstetric emergencies.

Participants attending an ALSO Course learn practical, standardized, team-based approaches to managing emergency situations, such as postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, breech delivery, cord prolapse and maternal resuscitation. Although labor and delivery room emergency care is the main focus of the program, the ALSO curriculum further addresses preventive care and practice concerns, such as medical complications of pregnancy, preterm labor, labor dystocia, trauma and helping parents cope with a birth crisis.
Registration includes all course materials.  Continental breakfast and lunch are included. 
Please note: Online access to an AAFP CME activity is a non- transferable, non-refundable purchase. Learners who are unable to attend their scheduled Live portion of the course may search for a future Live course to attend. After registering for the new course, they will receive an Online Course URL from the sponsor and will access that link to connect to that course. Online Course progress/completion will remain from the last course, in their AAFP Accounts. The Learner will also be subject to an additional Learner access fee of $150.00.
Upon successful registration and payment, all learners will receive access to the online modules to complete in advance of the course.
