The IAFP provides unmatched continuing medical education programs (CME), developed by family physicians for family physicians. We are the place to go to help maintain your ABFM MoC and licensure by offering evidence-based education. We continuously assess our members' needs to provide timely, relevant topics geared toward the family physician. IAFP has an extensive and growing library of online CME on YouTube. Videos are free to access, and CME credit for state mandated CME is always free for IAFP members. Our CME committee and experienced staff work with organizations and funders to develop a timely, evidence-based curriculum, with tools for instant implementation in practice.
IAFP is a year-round presence in Springfield, Chicago, throughout the state and in Congress. Led by an experienced staff and strategically sound decision-making, IAFP has established a respected voice in government affairs. IAFP offers the opportunity to stay informed and enlightened on legislative and government relations issues that can and will affect the primary care landscape here in Illinois. We provide tools and connections for those who are empowered to advocate and engage with their elected officials.
The Government Relations committee and Legislative Action Team work in tandem with staff and our contracted lobbying firm to steer the Academy's activities and maintain solid relationships with lawmakers at all levels in both parties.
